SUMMARY OF TASKS:
Starting Wage: $26.54 per hour

We are currently hiring for General Relief employees at our Abbotsford facility. General Relief is a group of entry level laborers who may be called on to work in various roles within the operation, from the warehouse to production floor. General Relief employees typically work on a casual, on-call basis to fill-in for vacations and other absences while gaining hours towards seniority. When seniority is achieved, employees from the General Relief group are eligible to move into full-time positions if qualified and when they become available.

***Must be available to work varied shift work as well as holidays, weekends, and on-call when required***

RESPONSIBILITIES:
With your team you will:

• Participate and learn through in-house on the job training
• Operation of production equipment, following all food safety procedures
• Perform manual lifting, stacking, and pulling (up to approx. 50lbs)
• Perform various tasks using an electric pallet jack
• Participate in the setup, takedown and sanitation of all parts and equipment when required
• Working with, and near sanitizing chemicals (i.e. high concentrations of acids and alkalis)
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position is for you if you:

• Are physically able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements
• Can lift up to 50LBS on a regular basis and perform physically demanding tasks
• Operate electric power jack, counterbalance & high reach forklifts, clamp truck. Experience is preferred, but not required
• Can work in a temperate and / or refrigerated environment
• Already have experience in production / warehousing (asset but not required)
• Learn quickly and you are responsible for your own work
• Like working as a team and communicate well with your colleagues
• Hold a Class 1 license (considered an asset)
